Adam Ward and his wife Rebecca welcomed their little boy Max into the world in March 2021. He was their second child. The family, from Bamford in Rochdale, were made up.

After a few weeks, Max was routinely hit by chest infections. He also had a tendency to stare into space and not look his loving parents in their eyes.

Now, just short of his second birthday, Max will see Manchester Cathedral lit up blue - to raise awareness of Angelman Syndrome.
