A mum and her two sons have been living in a hotel for six weeks after a rat infestation took over her home – but when she first reported the problem her landlord told her she was ‘hallucinating’.

Lauren Leach was living in a Your Housing property in Partington, Trafford, when she first noticed signs of an infestation in her home about two years ago.

It was after she found a dead rodent in her home that she reported it to her housing association.
