Motherwell star's cracker against Livingston 'wasn't best career goal'

In-form Theo Bair bagged a brilliant brace in Motherwell’s recent win over Livingston – but says his spectacular second wasn’t even the best of his career.The 24-year-old Canadian striker dinked the ball over Livi captain Michael Devlin before chipping over stranded Shamal George to put the result beyond doubt, ending a 15-game winless streak in the Premiership.Though that was an astonishing strike that took his season’s tally to four, Bair says his best ever goal was his first MLS strike for Vancouver Whitecaps in a 3-1 defeat to Portland Timbers on August 11, 2019.Then-19-year-old Bair scored a rocket from a tight angle to help the Whitecaps to victory and has encouraged the Fir Park faithful to ‘check it out’ on YouTube.On his strike against Livi, Bair – who also netted in last week’s 2-2 draw with Hibs in Motherwell’s last game before the winter break, said: “The goal against Livi is the second-best goal I’ve scored.“If anyone has seen my first goal ever in professional football, then you’ll understand.“It was for Vancouver Whitecaps against Portland Timbers.
