Manchester United youngster Hannibal Mejbri is among the nominees for the 2022 CAF Young Player of the Year award. The 19-year-old already has 16 caps for Tunisia under his belt, having featured twice in this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The midfielder came on for a memorable cameo in United's 4-0 defeat to Liverpool in April before making his first Premier League start in the final day loss to Crystal Palace.
He will be hoping to earn more minutes under Erik ten Hag this season ahead of the World Cup. Tunisia face Denmark, Australia and France in Group D in Qatar, where Hannibal will be hoping to play in his first finals.
