Man found unconscious in sub zero temperatures after 'disturbance' on Scots train

A man was found unconscious on a street in Gourock after an alleged disturbance on a train. Members of the public raced to aid the man, who has suffered facial injuries, on Shore Street on Saturday, December 10.

Medics attended the scene after 9pm and took the 48-year-old to Inverclyde Royal Hospital for treatment, where his current condition is unknown.

Officers have launched a probe into the incident and wish to speak to a group of young men who were in their area at the time.

Police inquiries so far have suggested a disturbance broke out on a train from Glasgow Central Station to Gourock shortly before 9pm.
