Manchester City attacker Cole Palmer scored his third goal for England’s Under-21s, firing home the final strike in their 3-1 friendly win over Germany at Bramall Lane on Tuesday evening.
The 20-year-old broke the defensive line deep into stoppage time at the end of the game to fire past Noah Atubolu to seal the win for the hosts.
Palmer enjoyed 20 minutes on his sixth appearance for the age group. Fellow City academy graduate Taylor Harwood-Bellis, currently on loan at Burnley, started the game before being replaced by Blues colleague Luke Mbete on 83 minutes.
Tommy Doyle and James McAtee, both on loan at Sheffield United, also came on as substitutes a minute before Palmer entered the pitch.
