Man charged with assaulting Sikh leader in Northern Quarter

A man has been charged with assaulting a Sikh leader in Manchester's Northern Quarter. Claudio Campos, 28, of Ladybarn Lane, Manchester was due to appear before magistrates on Thursday (September 8).

It follows a Greater Manchester-wide appeal following the alleged incident at around 6.30pm on June 23. Police and paramedics were called to reports of a man being found unconscious on Tib Street.

Mr Campos was arrested before being charged ahead of a court appearance. GMP said: "We would like to thank members of the public for their assistance in this investigation and for engaging with our appeals."
