Man appears in court accused of killing David Aubert found dead in south Manchester

A man accused of killing David Aubert following an assault in Manchester city centre has appeared in court. Jonathan Adamson, 24, appeared in the dock at Manchester Magistrates’ Court this morning wearing a grey jumper and matching tracksuit bottoms.

Mr Adamson, of Stocks Lane, Stalybridge, is charged with a single offence of manslaughter. Police have previously said that at around 4.45am on June 2, officers were called to a report of an assault on Bloom Street in Manchester city centre.

Emergency services attended and 59-year-old David was taken to hospital and later left on his own accord. Two days later, David was sadly found dead at an address on Upper Brook Street in Longsight at around 11am. During the hearing Mr Adamson spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.
