Baby killer Lucky Letby's old life has been demolished with her parents uprooted, cats made homeless and house sold. The 33-year-old sobbed when evidence of her previous life was presented in court.

During her 10-month long trial, one of the few times the murderer cried was when images of her childlike bedroom festooned with fairy lights to the names of her beloved cats were shown to the court.

Her life as she knew it has gone forever as she has been sentenced to a whole life term with no possibility of parole. The Mirror reports that while she languishes behind bars at the notorious HMP Low Newton in Durham, her cats Tigger and Smudge have had to find a new home, while her £200,000 first house has been sold.Letby's house - just a five-minute drive from the Countess of Chester Hospital, where she carried out her campaign of terror - was purchased by the killer for just under £179,000 in April 2016.

It was the address she was later arrested in at 6am on July 3, 2018 after attacking infants in her care. She was suspended from her role on the neonatal ward.
