A teenager who tragically died in a freak accident on a school lunch break was a talented young hurler destined to be a star, say his family and friends.
It is understood that Harry Byrne, 13, was knocked in the throat by a sliotar, a hurling ball, which damaged a carotid artery in his neck.
Harry was enjoying his lunch break on November 8 at St Kieran's College in Kilkenny, Southern Ireland, when the tragedy occurred, reports The Mirror.
The first year student was rushed to St Luke's Hospital and subsequently transferred to hospital in Dublin but he sadly passed away on November 9.
