A West Lothian businessman has set up an event to help support the country’s most vulnerable families through the coronavirus crisis.Michael Field, managing director at Workflo Solutions in Livingston, created The Seven Days of Lockdown Cheer after becoming inspired by the NHS ‘Clap for Carers’ idea when he saw people coming together and being uplifted by a true sense of community spirit.Michael noticed how much of a positive impact this had on people’s mood and how it invoked a genuine sense of togetherness – so he wanted to start an initiative of his own.The event started this week and will end on April 26, by which time Michael will have donated much needed items to help alleviate the boredom some families are suffering.Mr Field said:
