Lanarkshire pupils dressed to impress thanks to sustainable fashion initiative

Lanarkshire school pupils will soon be dressed to impress - and cutting back their carbon footprint at the same time. Stonelaw High is to host a "Take Me For Free" event for senior pupils at Rutherglen and Cambuslang' s three schools on March 3, which will see local shop R:evolve Recycle offer dresses and jumpsuits that have been donated by partners they work.

Teenagers at Cathkin, Trinity and Stonelaw can then snap up the clothes on offer, which would otherwise have been either unused indefinitely or ended up as landfill.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
