Lanarkshire pensioner's emotional thank-you to restaurant staff who helped him after taking ill

A Lanarkshire pensioner has paid a heartfelt thank you to kind workers at a restaurant who took care of him after he fell ill.

Alexander Brodie was out with his partner Deborah when he took unwell, resulting in a bad fall on Rutherglen's Stonelaw Road.

Staff and customers at nearby Luciano's restaurant and Café India raced out to help - now the 76-year-old contacted Lanarkshire Live to express his thanks.
