A Lanarkshire joiner is facing jail after police found cocaine worth £40,000 in his van.Dad-of-four Kevin Scott, 26, appeared at Airdrie Sheriff Court this week .He admitted being concerned in the supply of the Class A drug in Burleigh Place, Coatbridge, on October 25 last year.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

The value is £39,680."The accused was arrested and provided a 'no comment' interview."A defence lawyer conceded prison is "inevitable" for Scott, a self-employed joiner, of Monkton Crescent, Coatbridge.He asked for bail to be continued in the meantime "to allow him to put arrangements in place for his family".Sheriff Scott Pattison deferred sentence until next month for background reports and an electronic tagging assessment.The sheriff agreed "on a margin" to continue bail. * Don't miss the latest headlines from around
