Lanarkshire ice cream producer Equi's is launching three new flavours for summer - as well as a new logo described as "a cheeky nod to its Scottish Italian heritage".The much-loved local firm, founded in Hamilton more than a century ago and which now has its factory and headquarters in Rutherglen, is adding strawberry cheesecake, pistachio swirl, plus chocolate hazelnut & raspberry to its list of more than 50 flavours from Friday, July 19.It comes as the company unveiled a new look - an illustration of Michaelangelo’s statue of David, the world-famous Italian Renaissance sculpture, which has an ice cream cone on its head in a nod to Glasgow's iconic Duke of Wellington traffic cone.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
