Lanarkshire gardening group dismayed after vandals damage their grounds

A popular Lanarkshire gardening group have said they are dismayed after mindless vandals damaged their grounds. Grow 73's area at Overtoun Park in Rutherglen was used for a drinking session at the weekend, with the vandals setting part of it on fire on Saturday night.

"For those who sometime stop to ask us why it is taking so long to get there, it is because the nature of what we do takes time to apply for funding, be successful with funding and this year in particular has been challenging getting materials."We need the help and support from our community to let us know if something suspicious is happening, to call the local police and to educate our kids to respect their environment."This will set us back sadly.
