Lanarkshire 10k will see hundreds of runners pay tribute to popular Cambuslang doctor

Hundreds of runners will take to the streets in Lanarkshire this weekend in memory of a much loved doctor who passed away last year.Cat Gaskell was a member of the Newton Road Runners when she sadly passed away in August 2021.

The club have now arranged a 10k starting at Westburn Hall and following the Clyde path, followed by a raffle at the Newton Arms pub, that will raise funds for a good cause and also celebrate Cat, who lived in Cambuslang.

Joanne told Lanarkshire Live : "We are almost at capacity now for the 10k, and hopefully this week we'll reach the limit, which is 300 people.
