Kate Middleton may be set to return to the special spot in Kenya that husband William proposed to her back in 2010, as the friends of the couple, who reside in the East African country, have just announced their engagement. The now-Prince Of Wales popped the question to his wife-to-be Kate, who shared her cancer diagnosis earlier this month, 14 years ago at Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in the foothills of Mount Kenya, sharing the news in November 2010.

And now, their friend Joss Craig, whose father William runs the conservancy, is engaged to his partner Miranda Simpson, who is also the sanctuary's horse-riding manager.

Boasting a lasting friendship with the family, William attended the wedding of Batian Craig, Joss's cousin, in 2008, despite it falling on the same day as his own cousin, Peter Phillips' wedding. "Wouldn't it be lovely if Catherine could attend the wedding?," a friend told the Daily Mail's Richard Eden.

Kate hasn't been seen at any gatherings or royal engagements since Christmas, as she has been recovering from abdominal surgery, which she underwent in January, and is now going through preventative chemotherapy. The condition was at first determined to be non-cancerous, and while the surgery was successful, it was then found that cancer was present in Kate. The royal shared this news via a heartfelt video earlier this month, in which she assured that she was 'doing well' but pleaded for privacy.
