Justin Timberlake Will “Vigorously” Defend DWI Allegations, Attorney Says
deadline.comOne day after Justin Timberlake was arrested and charged with DWI, his attorney Edward Burke Jr. is speaking out on behalf of the singer. “I look forward to vigorously defending Mr.
Timberlake on these allegations,” Burke said in a statement provided to Deadline. “I will have a lot to say at the appropriate time but am currently awaiting full discovery from the District Attorney’s office.” Police say Timberlake was pulled over Monday night in Sag Harbor, NY, after he ran through a stop sign and his 2025 BMW was weaving along the road.
He was arrested and charged with one felony count of DWI. He was released on his own recognizance following his arraignment in Sag Harbor Justice Court.
He is next scheduled to virtually appear in court on July 26, the same day he’s set to begin a two-night stand in Krakow, Poland as part of his upcoming world tour.
