The star died of congestive heart failure, according to his death certificate, which was obtained by TMZ. The certificate — issued by LA County — also stated that the “Good Times” actor died at 5:18 PM at Inglewood Hospital in Inglewood, Calif.
on Aug. 21.He was 84.Outside of his heart failure, no additional medical conditions were listed and an autopsy was not performed.
Amos was cremated on Aug. 30, only 9 died after he passed, per the document. Amos’ son, Kelly Christopher Amos, aka “K.C.,” informed LA County officials about the star’s passing.
Per TMZ, the death certificate indicates KC was given his father’s ashes after he was cremated.K.C., 53, broke the news of his father’s death in a statement issued Tuesday.
