Jessie Ware and Romy have an amazing new song out! The What’s Your Pleasure? superstar and the Mid Air musician dropped their highly anticipated collaboration “Lift You Up” on Monday (July 1), following the duo’s surprise debut of the song during Jessie‘s headline slot on the West Holts Stage at 2024 Glastonbury Festival over the weekend. Keep reading to find out more… The disco-infused track was produced by Madonna collaborator Stuart Price, and came to be after the two first crossed paths when Romy‘s band The xx performed an intimate gig under the Westway in London years ago. The xx invited Jessie to perform at their Night & Day Festival in Berlin afterward. “I felt like it was such a cool seal of approval – I sang with them on stage and I think from then on Romy and I became friends, she was a fan of my music and I was such a fan of her,” Jessie said.

The two have collaborated over the years while working on songs including “Share It All,” which appears on the deluxe edition of Jessie‘s Tough Love. “I was so excited to be in the room with my friend and to see how she works and to hear her beautiful voice.
