Thania Garcia Actor, singer and television personality Jennifer Hudson has inked a new deal with Interscope Records, the label announced Wednesday.
Steve Berman, vice chairman of Interscope Capitol Label Group, said in a statement, “Jennifer has made so many important contributions to global musical culture onstage, onscreen and through her incredible body of recordings.
She is a tour de force and we are thrilled that she has chosen to spend the next phase of her career at Interscope.” Hudson — a multi-faceted entertainer with projects across film, music and television — is the youngest female EGOT winner in history.
She won a Grammy for best R&B album for her 2008 self-titled debut. She also earned an Oscar for her role as “Effie” in the 2007 film “Dreamgirls,” an adaptation of the Broadway musical.
