James Corden has been hailed as "really lovely" by fans and onlookers during the filming of the much-anticipated final episode of Gavin and Stacey.Fans of the hit BBC comedy were thrilled this Tuesday when they caught sight of the 46-year-old actor alongside co-stars Ruth Jones, who portrays Nessa, and Joanna Page, in the role of Stacey, at Barry Island, near Cardiff. In a charming photo, James was seen ambling down the Victorian promenade, clad in a lilac anorak, right beside the ice cream shop, Scoop.

The owner of the parlour expressed how delightful it was to have the Fat Friends star nearby, sharing her excitement about encountering Smithy, the Mirror reports.Laura Davenport, 38, from Barry, couldn't contain her enthusiasm as she told PA: "We've been making ourselves known to anyone that will talk to us to be honest!" She explained how their shop's location placed them virtually on the set. "Because of where the shop is, we've kind of been on set almost.

We waved madly at James and got him over to the shop. He's really lovely, asking about the shop, saying that it was really lovely, really different. "He was great, he had some photos with us one of the girls that works for us is our baker so he had one of her brownies as well.

He's been lovely to everybody to be honest, all the fans, he's had photos with them so it's been a great day."Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. You'll receive daily updates on breaking news as well as the top headlines across Scotland. No one will be able to see who is signed up and no one can send messages except the Daily Record team. All you have to do is click here if you're on mobile, select 'Join Community' and you're in!If you're on a
