Good Morning Britain hosts Ben Shepard and Charlotte Hawkins took a swipe at the UK Government on Friday after being told no ministers were available to join them on the show.
The presenters said that producers were told they didn't have time for them in their 'busy schedule'. It comes after the Bank of England 'doomsday' forecast of recession, warning that inflation will peak at more than 13%.
Presenter Charlotte Hawkins told viewers: "As the government faces criticism for being absent at a time of crisis, we did invite a government minister on the show this morning but were told they didn't have time for us in their busy schedule.
