'I tried a butty shop that was given a zero-star food hygiene rating'

However, our friends at Lancs Live proved that this isn't always the case. Reporter Amy Fenton visited the Wood's Craft Bakery which was recently awarded the lowest possible food hygiene rating.
The owner of the bakery, which has been serving its local community for 40 years, claimed that no inspection took place, making the zero-star rating undeserved.
The Whalley New Road store was opened by Catherine and Barry Wood in 1984 - they retired two years ago and searched for a new buyer. READ MORE: Join the FREE Manchester Evening News WhatsApp community The shop was eventually sold to Chris and May Wang last October.
