A violent and controlling bully who put his girlfriends through 'years of hell' has been jailed. Lewis Radcliffe sexually exploited the three women and subjected them to prolonged physical and mental abuse, police say.

One woman, who he met on a dating site, described how Radcliffe, 43, 'broke me down, bit by bit... until I was that weak I felt as though I was trapped and couldn't get out'.

Another victim said Radcliffe, of Stockport, threatened to 'make her and her family disappear if she didn't do what he asked'.

Radcliffe, formerly of Knutsford Avenue, Heaton Chapel, but now of no fixed address, was jailed for four years and seven months after pleadingguilty to engaging in coercive and controlling behaviour and burglary at Preston Crown Court.
