'I cancelled family holiday after 24 hours - my sons were being brats and needed punished'
dailyrecord.co.ukA mum has revealed that she became so furious at her sons' "bratty" behaviour that she cancelled a family holiday after just 24 hours.
The fed-up mother went on a staycation with her husband, two boys- aged nine and eight - and three-year-old daughter.The boys regularly "fight like cats and dogs" and their recent behaviour had been driving both the mum and dad "crazy".
The parents have had "countless talks" with the lads about how to behave and respect each other but the appeals continued to fall on deaf ears.The mum had concerns that a family holiday would just exacerbate the issues but her husband shot her down, hoping that the children would be too excited to end up at each other's throats.
But, unsurprisingly, this was not the case and the sibling rivalry reared its head within minutes of their three-and-a-half hour drive to their destination, The Mirror reports.Taking to Reddit to explain the situation, the parent said that the sons were "fighting and riling each other up" during the entire journey - and things only got worse from there.The mum explained that she and her husband had reminded the boys of the rules of the rental property before they arrived, but the troublesome twosome paid them no heed.
