A huge cannabis farm worth an estimated £500,000 was uncovered after police burst into a property in Bury on Saturday (August 31).
Officers, who were drawn to the building in Bury town centre due to it 'smelling strongly of cannabis', forced entry and uncovered the huge grow cultivating inside.
The farm was later shut down, with over 500 cannabis plants seized. Two men were arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis after being found hiding from cops inside. Sharing the news on social media, the force said: "Yesterday, officers deployed on Operation Heartbeat had their attention drawn to a property in Bury town centre that smelled strongly of cannabis. "After some diligent checks it was established to be a suspected cannabis farm, these suspicions proved to be correct after entry to the address was forced.
