A homegrown food firm is launching beetroot crisps in homage to the brand's Coatbridge founder.Scotty Brand has entered into the snack category with the new product.Beetroot was the inspiration behind the launch of the company over seven decades ago, when Albert Bartlett invested £30 in a tin bathtub to boil locally-grown beetroot in his garden shed in Coatbridge to earn extra income to support his growing family.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
