HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) has issued a money-saving message for parents ahead of the Easter holidays. The government department is urging eligible families to sign up for Tax-Free Childcare which could earn them up to £2,000 in savings per child each year.
Some parents could even get up to £4,000 if their child is disabled. The scheme is available for children aged 11 or under (16 and under if the child has a disability) and helps pay for 'approved' childcare.
Parents can get up to £500, or £1,000 if a child is a disabled, every three months with HMRC statins every £8 paid into an account will receive a top-up of £2 from the government.
