Green-fingered Paisley pupils transform local woods

PAISLEY DAILY EXPRESS: Live news as it happensIt was overgrown and treacherous but since last August, the Erskine youngsters have worked hard alongside their teacher Lorna Robertson to transform the space.The woods have now been cleared and made safe with a fence along one side which borders a road.

There is a tyre swing and a rope swing, a bear hunt and is a popular spot for pupils to go on scavenger hunts.And their efforts have been recognised with certificates from the national conservation charity, John Muir Award.Miss Robertson said: "It started last August.
