Glasvegas and Slam join forces for special collaboration

Recently Glasvegas frontman and songwriter James Allan pushed his boundaries and came up with an amazing song called Shake The Cage (für Theo), which is dedicated to his young nephew Theo.After hearing it, Slam's Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle were hooked and they spent the night talking about how they could collaborate with Glasvegas on the track.
When they eventually approached James, he instantly agreed and asked them to do whatever they wanted – and the result is a sublime rework that sits somewhere between the two artists.Speaking about their creation, James said: “I think when it comes to remixing a song it can be more possible to find a way in when you're coming at it from a different angle.
And Glasvegas and Slam are pretty much coming from opposite sides, but that kinda just means they found a way into the song that was completely different from where I was.
Dressing it up in a different way, and it still suits the song. I'm glad we got the chance to work together.“The sounds they added are brilliant.
