At least 67 people have died at the region's hospitals having contracted coronavirus, according to the latest NHS data. Public Health England figures show that as of Sunday evening (March 29), there have been 680 confirmed cases of COVID-19 at facilities in our region - an increase of 116 recorded cases since Saturday night.

The true number of people infected is likely to be far higher as people who suspect they have symptoms, but are not admitted to hospital, are not being routinely tested.

NHS figures collated by the Manchester Evening News , including cases from an update on Sunday show 67 people have died at hospital trusts across Greater Manchester - up from 63 the day before.
