Former England soccer team manager Sven-Goran Eriksson will continue to contribute to a Prime Video documentary about his life and career, despite his terminal cancer diagnosis.

75-year-old Eriksson has been working with Whisper production company for the last 18 months on a “warts and all” documentary, tracing his career from Italian club Lazio to becoming the first non-British manager of England in 2001.

The Times reports that the doc may be aired midway through the year, although Eriksson will have the final say on the transmission date.

The paper quotes a source saying that, despite the football pro’s deteriorating health, there is a lot of humour in the piece, as “Sven is a very funny guy.” As well as his footballing achievements, the documentary will chart Eriksson’s high-profile life away from the pitch, including relationships with long-term girlfriend Nancy Dell’Olio and British TV presenter Ulrika Jonsson.
