Flooding in Kilmarnock with Ayrshire braced for heavy downpours as heatwave ends

Ayrshire has been hit with heavy rain this afternoon after a night of thunder and lightning. Parts of Kilmarnock have flooded with a police car on Bonnyton Road diverting traffic from the notorious troublespot today.
