Former Bolton Wanderers midfielder Luke Murphy has joined non-league side Macclesfield FC. The Silkmen have agreed to sign Murphy, who was a free agent after leaving Crewe Alex this summer.
It has not been disclosed how long the deal for the former Bolton midfielder is for. The 32-year-old played 45 times for Wanderers and scored twice in two seasons.

It saw a change in the dugout as Ian Evatt replaced Keith Hill as boss. The midfielder came through the youth team ranks at the Railwaymen, winning promotion from League Two and the Football League Trophy with the Cheshire club.
