Eight fire engines rush to blaze in roof of terrace house in Ashton
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA fire that spread to the roof of a terraced house in Ashton sparked a huge emergency services response on Thursday evening.
The blaze, which is thought to have started shortly before 6pm, involved the roof of the home. The incident occurred on Elgin Street, in Ashton-under-Lyne, as fire crews were deployed quickly to the scene.
Eight fire engines attended, with the road also closed as the flames were tackled and put out. It is understood that there were no serious injuries, but the North West Ambulance services have been contacted for confirmation.
