Sam Vanderpump, one of Made In Chelsea’s newest cast members, is no stranger to the celebrity world with his aunt Lisa Vanderpump being a longtime star of American hit The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills.

However, Sam isn’t just related to reality TV royalty – he has links to actual royalty as well! The businessman, 27, reveals that his parents originally met after Prince Andrew’s dog bit his dad, the late Mark Vanderpump, and his mum Simone tended to him. “My mum was the private chef of Prince Andrew – not that she wants to sing that from the rooftops now,” Sam laughs. “My dad went on to own a DJ agency – but in his mid-twenties was installing sound equipment in homes and was installing it at Prince Andrew’s place. The royal dog bit my dad and my mum had to bandage him up.They went out for dinner and I think they were engaged within a few months.” While Sam’s mum left the job before he was born, the Made In Chelsea star grew up alongside other big names after getting into race car driving. “I raced cars from a very young age.

Lando Norris, George Russell – we used to go-kart with each other until our early teens,” Sam says. "My parents couldn’t afford the money that it was costing to get into the Formula Renaults, so I went elsewhere. “I run both of my companies now and I’ve got people who can do stuff for me but it has been tough with filming.

I didn’t actually realise how much time Made In Chelsea would take up!” As for the new series ahead, Sam teases “a lot of kissing” and “scandalous” behaviour as he’s embracing singledom after ending a long term relationship.
