Documents have revealed a spate of problems at a Tameside pub which was shut down for ‘repeatedly breaching coronavirus regulations’ – including a DJ playing loud music and customers brawling.The Jolly Hatters pub in Denton was served with a Direction to Close Notice by Tameside council on Friday, September 18.The town hall said it was in response to the premises posing a ‘serious and imminent threat to public health’.Now council reports reveal that the Town Lane venue has been a ‘premises of concern’ since reopening to the public on July 4.On that date the GMP licensing officer for Tameside and a council officer visited the premises, which was ‘very busy with large groups of customers watching football’, the report says.“These customers.
