direct to your inboxDevelopers have lost an appeal against Trafford council over an estate they wanted to build - which would have had no affordable housing.Redrow Homes submitted plans for 400 new properties on land on Warburton Lane, Partington, in May 2019.But after the council failed to inform them of its decision over the plans within the required time frame, the developers appealed to the government.The council later denied the company planning permission on the grounds that it failed to meet a minimum requirement of 45pc affordable housing.As a result of the previous appeal, a public inquiry was launched into the proposals and the council’s subsequent decision.The government appointed planning inspector Christina Downes to oversee.
