Denise Welch supports 'emotional' son Matty Healy following Taylor Swift split

Denise Welch has seemingly backed up her son following the recent reports that Matty Healy had split from his star-studded girlfriend Taylor Swift following their whirlwind romance which has left the 1975 frontman feeling "emotional."The Loose Women star, 65, has thrown her full support behind British rocker Matty, who she shares with actor Tim Healy, as she retweeted an upcoming live stream as she took to Twitter in a pledge of motherly support.The band are due to play at Best Kept Secret festival in the Netherlands this weekend according to reports in the Mirror, just days after the news broke their relationship had ended despite being rumoured to be dating just a few weeks prior.We previously reported that Matty, 34, had even been due to move into the Anti-Hero singers lavish New York pad with her before the split emerged which has came as a shock to both sides of their fanbase.The couple are believed to have gone their separate ways after realising they were "not really compatible with each other".Whilst Matty has been pictured drinking alcohol on stage and seeming emotional just hours after news of the split was announced, mum Denise has not commented publicly but instead taken to Twitter to show her support.The former Waterloo Road actress retweeted a message about his live stream to her 556,700 followers which comes as the first time The 1975 have ended their set with a tragic love song.

Speaking about the meaning behind the lyrics previously, Matty told BBC 1 Radio that the song is about the times he shared with a girl.

He said: "I loved her but she didn't feel the same way. I don't even think she knew I loved her. As she and I became close friends, we had traditions.
