Denise Johnson's debut album is to be released posthumously, her family and friends have announced.The talented Manchester vocalist had nearly completed Where Does It Go when she passed away in July, aged 56.Friends have described her 'immense' delight at getting it to the point of release, saying she was 'hugely proud' of the record.The album - a stripped-back, acoustic record, apart from two tracks - is now due to be released on Friday October 2, co-ordinated by her close friend Sue Langford.Denise's vocals brought depth and soul to the music of New Order, Primal Scream, Johnny Marr, The Charlatans, Michael Hutchence, 808 State, Electronic, Bernard Butler, Ian Brown, The Waterboys and A Certain Ratio - whose album released later this.
