dog was found dumped in a bin in a Scots graveyard. A 'very distressed' bypasser made the grim discovery of the female terrie r in the bin at the Cemetery Lodge on Howe Road in Kilsyth on Monday.

The Scottish SPCA are now looking to trace the owner of the cream-coloured animal, who was not microchipped, warning it 'is not the proper way' to dispose of a deceased animal.

The charity has urged anyone with information to come forward.,A statement read: "We are appealing for information after the body of a dog was found at Cemetery Lodge, Howe Road, Kilsyth on Monday 16 August."We were alerted to the incident after a member of the public found the deceased female dog in a bin."Scottish SPCA inspector Robyn Myszor added the dog was an 'older.
