Daytime Emmys 2024 Nominations List (Updating Live)
variety.comMichael Schneider Variety Editor at Large The National Academy of Televison Arts & Sciences is rolling out the nominations for Daytime Emmys, announcing a handful of categories on Thursday night and revealing the rest on Friday morning.
More categories will be announced this afternoon at 4:30 p.m. PT, and then at 8:30 p.m. PT, with the rest tomorrow. Among the categories shared on Thursday: Daytime Drama Series Lead Actor, Daytime Drama Series Lead Actress, Daytime Talk Series Host, Daytime Drama Series and Daytime Talk Series.
The 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards will air live on Friday, June 7, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS (delayed on the west coast). Effective this Daytime Emmys will no longer include a category devoted to younger performers in a daytime drama; they’ll now be required to enter lead, supporting or guest categories.
The eligibility period for the 2024 Daytime Emmys is Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2023. Here are this year’s nominees: Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series: Actor Eric Braeden as Victor Newman, “The Young and the Restless” (CBS) Scott Clifton as Liam Spencer, “The Bold and the Beautiful” (CBS) Thorsten Kaye as Ridge Forrester, “The Bold and the Beautiful” (CBS) Eric Martsolf as Brady Black, “Days of Our Lives” (Peacock) John McCook as Eric Forrester, “The Bold and the Beautiful” (CBS) The 2024 ceremony will once again take place at the Westin Bonaventure hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
