DANNY Dyer has hinted he could return to EastEnders in the future after quitting as Mick Carter. The actor, 44, insisted much-loved character will not be killed off leaving the door open for a return in the future.
Speaking to daughter Dani on their Sorted with the Dyers podcast, Danny discussed his exit for the first time and revealed he decided to walk in order to land a “defining role”.
He explained: “I’ve had nine years of playing Mick and I think it [the role of Mick Carter] needs to be rested for a bit and I think I want to go off and I’m still looking for that defining role. “I don’t know what that is yet, maybe it isn’t there and maybe it is but I’ve always been ambitious and I had a long career before EastEnders.
I want to go out there and have a little go and I know the only way to do that is to walk away. “I just wanted to put my little version out there.
