And as homeowners and renters alike opted to keep adding to their houseplant collections, many may have picked up various bargains that were actually worth more than double or triple their asking price.The reason is because supermarkets sometimes miss rare variations of seemingly-common plants.
Plants like the Monstera or the Philodendron with different colourings on their leaves or stems are sometimes worth thousands just for a single leaf.
