Dancing on Ice's Greg Rutherford sends 'pretty rough' injury update with message to Ryan Thomas
manchestereveningnews.co.ukDancing on Ice star Greg Rutherford has issued a fresh injury update after being forced to pull out of the competition ahead of the final.
The Olympic athlete had to quit the ITV skating show just hours before his final skate after suffering a "significant injury" in rehearsals.
Greg, 37, was due to compete on Sunday (March 10) with his dancing partner Vanessa James, but announced earlier in the day that he was “devastated” to have to withdraw.
At the start of the final, Willoughby said: "You may have noticed that Greg and Vanessa weren’t part of our opening and unfortunately Greg injured himself in rehearsals earlier today. "We’re all completely gutted and sadly he cannot continue in the competition."
