COVID stress is 'taking its toll' on Perth College students

Perth College’s students’ association president has said challenges brought on by COVID are “taking a major toll” on students’ mental wellbeing.

Highlands and Islands Student Association (HISA) president Alex Wilson has also called for “more targeted" government support for students who are isolating and increased testing to ensure students can return home from accommodation.

It comes in the aftermath of three positive COVID tests for students who attended a face-to-face class at Perth College UHI at the end of last month. Perth and Kinross care home provider boss says new rules are 'putting people at risk' Six students and three staff members were then asked to self-isolate at home as part of the NHS Test and Protect process.
