Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has played down the fact that his side have two games in hand on Manchester United in the race for a top-four finish after moving to within one point of them in the Premier League table.

The Gunners, who were beaten 3-2 at Old Trafford back in December, came from a goal down to seal a dramatic 2-1 win over Wolves at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday evening, courtesy of a 95th minute own-goal by goalkeeper Jose Sa.

The Midlands outfit had been in front since the tenth minute until Nicolas Pepe brought Arsenal level with just eight minutes of normal time left on the clock.

Victory, which was Arsenal's third in a row, moved them up to fifth and to within one point of Ralf Rangnick's side, meaning they have significantly strengthened their top-four ambitions, largely because of the fact that they have two games in hand on United.
