Eleven-year-old Sam and 12-year-old Hope Stape became boyfriend and girlfriend after bonding over their traumas, including Hope being slapped by Beth Sutherland.
In scenes aired in March the friends revealed that they had become an item while their proud parents beamed. Hope's mum and dad Fiz and Tyrone cooed over the new couple as they sat together on the sofa before heading off to the cinema, and even tried to get a photo much to Hope's disgust.
